Here’s what’s going on at Mountain Tap in late summer!
Every MONDAY is Music Monday! As town quiets down from the weekend, kick off the week with live local music on the Mountain Tap patio from 5-7 pm. View the lineup here. Monday is also ½-Price Growler Night. Bring in your growler jug (or purchase one for $8), we’ll top it off for ½-price! Drink the best variety of fresh to-go beer at home and reduce waste with your reusable packaging!
Every TUESDAY is Token Tuesday! Come in for a beer, we’ll donate $1 to your local beneficiary of choice. See this month’s beneficiaries here.
Every FIRST & THIRD WEDNESDAY is Joggers & Lagers! These biweekly noncompetitive social fun runs start and end at Mountain Tap. Professional trail runner David Norris provides two routes: an easy jaunt and a more challenging run. Check in at Mountain Tap at 6 p.m. to learn the route and receive a free beer or soda ticket to redeem after the run. (Upcoming runs: 9/2, 9/16, 10/7 and 10/21. Every THURSDAY is Trivia on Tap! Voted Best of the ‘Boat by locals year after year, the game is from 6 to 8 p.m. We fill up – get here early!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 is the Fresh Hopped Friday! We’ll tap up our annual fresh hop beers Picking Fresh Hops IPA and Elkstone Elixir Pilsner at noon. Picking Fresh Hops features hops grown in Montrose, CO, and Elkstone Elixir’s hops were grown just up the road at Elkstone Farm in Strawberry Park. Brewed only once a year during the late summer hop harvest, fresh hop beers are brewed with whole hop cones that go straight from the harvest field into the brewing process within 24 to 48 hours. To celebrate the special tapping, Morningside Duo will play live bluegrass music from 5 to 8 p.m., and Elkstone Farm will set up a farmstand with fresh, local produce at 5 p.m.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 30 is the Fresh Farm Fondo with Ride Workshop at Hayden Fresh Farm! It’s a gravel bike ride that ends with a farm tour and farm to table meal provided by Mountain Tap Mobile! Complete information and registration here. Advanced registration is required!
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 is the Final Music Monday of the summer, with Mattie Silks playing funk and rock from 5-7 pm. That’s not all – we’re tapping up our coveted Farmhouse Peche, a Belgian-style farmhouse ale that was brewed with 35 pounds of fresh Davis Family Farm Palisade peaches! YUM!
